Willamette Valley 2021 Rosé

2021 Vintage Summary

The 2021 vintage is quickly gaining momentum as one of the best vintages ever for many winemakers in the Willa- mette Valley. June brought record-high temperatures across Oregon that were worrisome in the moment. Bal- ance quickly returned for the rest of the Summer and by September returned to typical cool-climate temperatures. The cool night air allowed the grapes to finish ripening slowly, preserving bright acidity and balancing sugars.

Vinification

This Rose is made from Pinot Blanc (33%), Riesling (29%), Müller-Thurgau (20%), Pinot Noir (10%), and Muscat (8%). All of the Pinot Noir was destemmed and placed in the press with whole-clusters of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Müller-Thurgau. The press was rotated, and allowed to sit for 4 hours, then the fruit was gently pressed. The juice was settled, racked and fermented together giving a subtle yet vibrant pink color.
