Made in a European style that allows them to pair well with a broad range of foods, our winemaking emphasizes the wine’s fruit and acidity rather than its alcohol and tannin. Acidity plays two roles central to food pairing: cleansing of the palate and providing balance.
All the wines we make at Second Growth are made with estate-grown grapes from our family-owned vineyards.
We farm all of our vineyards in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and the Columbia Valley in Washington using Biodynamic principles.
We are very good stewards of the land and the environment, creating a very pure, natural wine in your glass. We use small lots, separately fermented to make our limited production wines. Each one is a great expression of the varietal and of the land it came from.
All grapes were hand-harvested and hand-sorted to ensure the highest quality fruit.
